I was supposed to be working on another project, but this piece just wanted to happen! I started with 12 gauge sterling silver wire, and hand-shaped and hammered it into a spiral to make this lovely little brooch.
The Spiral Brooch measures 5 cm, or about about 2 inches from the top of the spiral to the smooth point. I carefully polished it for a bright shine and a smooth finish that won't snag on your knitwear.

This piece would make a lovely accompaniment to my Spiral Dance Rings and bracelets. It, like them, was inspired by labyrinths and ancient spiral art.
