Classic straight U shaped hairpins are formed and hammered from 14 gauge solid sterling silver wire. The pins measure about 3 inches, and are made one at a time by me! They are fantastic for buns, French twists, and similar styles. These are made to order, and sold as a set of 3.

Please note: Sterling silver doesn't have the "springiness" of standard steel pins. Use with care. You can gently bend the hairpins back into place if they become misaligned .

Also: These hairpins are made from sterling silver wire. According to my supplier, the wire is .925 pure silver, alloyed with copper. There are no ferrous (iron) metals in the wire.

I have sold these to several folks who work with MRI machines, and have never had complaints about them being magnetic.
